For Facebook, posting between 1 pm – 4 pm result in the highest average click through rate.

For Twitter, social results are best when active between Mondays – Thursdays between 1 pm – 3 pm.

For LinkedIn, Tuesdays – Thursdays do well.

Research indicates that the peak social engagement and amplification time for Facebook is on Wednesdays at 3 pm, for Twitter, it’s Mondays to Thursdays 9 am – 3 pm and for LinkedIn, the peak time for social engagement is noon and between 5 pm – 6 pm.

The Worst times to post on Facebook are on Weekends before 8 am and after 8 pm, on Twitter, everyday after 8 pm and Fridays after 3 pm. For LinkedIn, the worst times to post are Mondays and Fridays between 10 pm and 6 am.

Some interesting facts:

Facebook posts have highest engagement with visual content, 53% more likes and 104% more comments.

Posts with visual content on Twitter see a 36% increase in clicks, 36% increase in visits, 41% increase in retweets, 48% increase in favorites, 33% increase in visitor-to-lead conversion rate and a whopping 55% increase in leads.

Let’s look at some data and facts for Pinterest, Tumblr and Google + now.

The best time to post on Pinterest is Saturday mornings.

The best time to post on Tumblr to receive most clicks in 24 hours is Friday evenings at 7 pm.

Google+ posts do well between 9 am and 10 am.

The peak time however to post on  Pinterest for Fashion and Retail is Fridays at 3 pm. On Tumblr, posts on Sundays – Tuesdays between 7 pm – 10 pm do best. On Google+, social media posts on Wednesdays at 9 am do the best in terms of social applause and engagement. The worst times to post on Pinterest is during normal business hours on weekdays, for Tumblr before 4 pm and for Google+, posts posted either early mornings or evenings, show poor engagement. 

Some interesting facts:

55% of Pinterest users have engaged with retailers and brands via Pinterest. Tumblr users spend 14 minutes per visit, 1.5 minutes longer than the average Facebook visit duration and interestingly, the fastest growing demographic on Google+ is between the ages of 45-55 years.
